Regarded as one of the best jazz drummers  in the U.S., Dave Tucker is often called a "monster;" someone who is considered by his peers to be one of the best of the best at performing their craft.

In 2001, Dave teamed up with trumpet great John Blount to form the New Big Band. Composed of some of the best Jazz musicians in the Baltimore-Washington area, the Band captures the sound, excitement and attitude of the jazz "Big Band."  The band has performed tribute concerts for Buddy Rich, Count Basie, and Maryland composing legend Hank Levy. In 2007, the band recorded John Blount's new CD titled "Better Days Ahead," which was nominated for a 2007 Grammy.  You can listen to clips from the CD as well as purchase it here.
